Creation Enhances Life

You may be wondering exactly how it is that the simple act of creation, in all it's many forms, actually works as an enhancer in your life. The answer to this is simple- as artists in various form, we tend to notice things from a different angle. We read in between the lines and it benefits the brain greatly as we train it to think outside the box. The most important thing about the act of creation is probably the fact that, not only does it allow us to share our innermost selves with others, but it also assists our mind as it searches for knowledge. Why do you think psychologists and therapists use forms of art in their practices? It lessens stress levels, lowers many elements that are potentially harmful to our well being as an individual, and helps our brains process the things that have happened to us in a positive way. Drawing, painting, writing, keeping a journal, designing, invention, & photography, among other artistic skills, are all used on both a personal and professional level to help a person come to terms with who they are...or who they want to be.
